Without nightstands, the range of modern bedroom furniture remains incomplete. These nightstands used alongside beds are useful in storing medicines, a couple of books, keeping telephone sets, or reading lamps. 2 drawer nightstands, banyan nightstands or 3door nightstands are the usual varieties bought by home owners.
As with all and any interior design project it is a good idea to make a rough sketchy plan of the area you want to furnish, in this case your bedroom and try as hard as you can to get a representative scale of the plan. A good guide here is to measure the room in feet and inches and then use a scale of one foot to one inch on the plan. Don't worry too much about the fractions though.
Follow these guidelines to make a bedroom come to life in Modern style. First, remove the clutter. Keep only the absolute essentials - bed, dresser, nightstand. Focus on keeping a few pieces of furniture and a few pieces for accent. Remove everything that's small, cutesy or collectible.
There are also additional storage provided by the bedside table, the drawers are special spaces, and they are also space savers if you want to organize your room. Modern decor principles dictate that the bed size should be appropriate to the size of the bedside nightstand and usually lower than the bed. You can also choose from a wide variety of materials used such as oak, maple, cherry, teak, mahogany, and pine.
